This policy explains what we do with your personal data when you download the manifesto The Last App or sign up for updates on relearning.how.
1. Who we are
The controller of your data is Fusália — AI Education & Consulting (Ron Lior), EN 359, Painel do Vaqueirinho Ex 10, 7330-328 São Salvador da Aramenha, Portugal. For any privacy question, contact us at bomdia@fusalia.com.
2. What we collect
Reading the manifesto on the page requires no account and no personal data. When you ask to download a copy, or sign up for updates, we collect your email address and your language preference. To evidence your consent and prevent abuse, we also record the date and time and your IP address.
3. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
- To send you the manifesto download you asked for: our legitimate interest in delivering the content you requested (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To send you updates, if you opt in: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- To record your consent, secure the service, and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Updates and double opt-in
Signing up for updates is entirely optional and is never a condition of receiving the manifesto. Updates may include essays on AI and thinking, news about Fusália’s courses and workshops, and occasional offers. We send them no more than a couple of times a month. The box is optional and unticked by default. If you opt in, we send a confirmation link; you only join the list once you click it (double opt-in). You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every update email, or by emailing bomdia@fusalia.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
5. How long we keep your data
If you download the manifesto but do not opt into updates, we keep your record for up to 60 days, then delete it. If you opt in but do not confirm within 30 days, we delete the opt-in. Confirmed subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe; when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days. We delete your IP address after 12 months in any case.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We use our hosting provider (Spaceship) to operate the website and store data, and our own mail server to send emails; these act as our processors. We do not share your data with anyone else unless required by law.
7. Where your data is processed
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), provided by our hosting provider, Spaceship. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
8. How we protect your data
The website runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. The list of email addresses is access-controlled and visible only to people who need it to run the service. We keep data to the minimum required for the purposes above.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent, and request a portable copy. To exercise any of these, email bomdia@fusalia.com; we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), or with the data protection authority in your own country (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
10. No profiling or automated decisions
We do not use your data to build profiles or to make decisions about you by automated means.
11. Children
This service is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
12. Cookies
The manifesto page and the updates sign-up do not use cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
This policy is published in English and Dutch. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
